What is Qigong?
Qi means energy, life force. Qi is universal energy present every living thing. Gong means practice or mastery. Qigong is an ancient Chinese scientific study of the power of Qi in the body and the universe; and how to use this energy to benefit all aspects of our lives.
When the body is healthy, energy flows freely throughout the body's energetic system. When the body experiences blockages due to illness, stress, or injury, for example, the energy flow can become restricted or blocked. Qigong healing works to open up and remove these blockages to assist the energy in flowing freely allowing the body to heal.
Qigong healing exercises help keep the energy channels open and the energy flowing. These exercises continue to promote balance and maintain the health of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects.
